Red Rock ‘N Roller Derby is a non-profit flat track roller derby association under the guidance of a volunteer Board of Directors, representing the sport of roller derby on Prince Edward Island, Canada. The association currently has two leagues, The Wharf City Rollers (Prince County) and Bootleg City Roller Derby (Queens County) and more than 50 members.

Red Rock ‘N Roller Derby started as a province-wise flat track roller derby league. The league’s very first practice was in the Holland College gym in January 2011. With the help from many volunteers and dedicated members and skaters; the league has grown tremendously over four years. It was with great excitement on February 1st 2015 that we announced the restructuring and expansion to becoming a province-wide association.

Thanks to the encouragement and support of the community and other Maritime roller derby leagues!

About Roller Derby

“Imagine a hockey game, but replace the ice with a roller rink. Swap out the baggy jerseys for fishnet hose and tank tops, and abandon ordinary names in favor of pseudonyms like Tanya Hyde and Demi Gore. What you have is a reasonable facsimile of women’s roller derby.” – Women’s Flat Track Derby Association
